2011 Legislative Luncheon

The Idaho Professional-Technical Education Foundation held its 2011 Legislative Luncheon on January 19th in Boise.

Anne Veseth, a graduate of Moscow High School, and recipient of the Robert R. Lee Promise Scholarship 2011 Governor and Winners

Anne Veseth, a graduate of Moscow High School, and recipient of the Robert R. Lee Promise Scholarship spoke to an audience consisting of Governor Otter, legislators, business and professional technical education supporters and her peers. She briefly shared lessons learned from her part-time jobs over the last ten year and her decision to apply the Promise Scholarship at Lewis-Clark State College’s Auto Mechanics Technology program.

Ms. Veseth’s selection for the $3,000 award, renewable for up to three years, was due in part to her dedication and strong work ethic. Her record of a maintaining a high GPA at Moscow High School continues at Lewis-Clark College as she also continues to work part-time and carry out her duties as treasurer for the Auto Club.

Ms. Veseths’ pursuit of a career in a field that has been predominately male was an inspiration to many in the audience from a prior generation. She demonstrates that Idaho’s young women and men have the natural talent, work ethic and skills necessary across a full range of careers in Idaho.

The Foundation wishes Anne well in her studies.

The Idaho Professional-Technical Education Foundation (IPTEF) supports educational activities to help assure Idaho employers have an availability of quality professional-technical talent within Idaho and merit scholarships to enable Idaho students to pursue the professional-technical education of their choice in Idaho.
